Baker's Dozen.

These colorful sugar cookies are super soft (it might have something to do with the fact that they are made with both butter and cream cheese!) and flavored with both vanilla and almond extract. They are tossed in colorful sprinkles before going into the oven, and immediately topped with a frosted animal cookie once they’re pulled out and still warm. The sprinkles and animal cookie provide some crunchy texture to this very soft and buttery cookie! Hopefully it makes Hugo proud!

Hugo, Oklahoma is the county seat of Choctaw County, which is located in the southeastern part of the state. The city was founded in 1901 and named for the French novelist Victor Hugo. Fun fact: Hugo’s nickname is Circus City, USA, since it has served as the winter quarters for some circus performers since the 1930’s and an entire section of the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo—known as The Showmen’s Rest—is specifically dedicated to circus performers and animals.
